Basic Module

During the basic course (1stand 2nd Year) emphasis is placed on individual process, group process and personal development. While experiencing the mentioned training, students are exposed to main Gestalt theoretical and methodological concepts.

1st Year Basic Module Aims:

Students are expected to have a level of understanding in:

  • History and roots of Gestalt Psychotherapy
  • Main Theoretical concepts and methods
  • Personal styles in contacting their environment and awareness about themselves
  • Assessment of themselves according to Gestalt theory

GPTIM supports a variety of assessment:

  • Self Assessment
  • Peer Assessment
  • Trainers Assessment

Assessment is carried out in an oral or written method.

2nd Year Basic Module Aims:

 

Students are expected to have a level of understanding and knowledge of:

  • History and roots of Gestalt Psychotherapy
  • Theory of Gestalt Therapy and Methodology

Students have to have experienced:

  • Working through main personal issues
  • Understanding the patterns of their contacting the environment and its content within Gestalt theory
  • Who they are in the context, what they need, where they are obtaining it from and what the consequences are for themselves and the environment in the light of Gestalt theory.
